nah, its complete overkill unless you're upgrading from a toaster. But if you're a complete twat who has to have the newest, shiniest card like me wait for the ti, shouldn't be too long.

Okay I was gonna say it's overkill for anything that isn't 4k but desu it's a great positioned card for 1440 and 144hz. Thing is, it was labeled as a 4k card with GDDR5 memory. And yes, I know about the x at the end, doesn't change the fact it doesnt have enough throughput for 4k for a single card.

So i guess, if you want to overkill 1080, or have a good experience at 1440, should be a good card. Just don't expect it to run future titles great at 4k.
