Having played BB and the Old Hunters in one go for my first playthrough, I had Papa G as first boss. Both him and Orphan were the two bosses that had me at my most tense. I'm talking heart-pounding, palm-sweating, edge-of-my-seat kind of feeling. Just thought they were great bookends to the game.

Beat this mother fucker a couple of days ago and got my plat this morning. This boss is hands down the hardest boss I've fought in the SoulsBorne series so far. Legit 50ish attempts on this fucker. It broke me mentally and I had to give up for the day and try him the next. The moment when I finally beat him was like busting a fat nut, it was incredible. Orphan became a lot more manageable for me once I realized how big the area actually is where you fight him. Once you go out into the water it's fucking huge and it trivializes, to some extent, his second form. It's so much easier to avoid him and just wait patiently for his jump attacks to punish.
