Seriously, GI is the only objectively bad level between either game. CCW is amazingly well put together. It's only real flaw is the fact that the notes reset if you die and that's particularly painful due to to the level set-up, and isn't even a problem on the 360.

I honestly like the Fade. It's bunch of dumb minigames that go nowhere but turn based rpg combat is so god damn tedious that after twenty hours you need something like that to break it up. it's funny that people complain about the Fade being monotonous when it's probably the most unusual and variable part of the whole game.

Mayahem Temple and Glitter Gulch Mine are my least favorite since they're pretty braindead and boring.

You think GI wasn't amazingly well put together? It's far more complicated than CCW and I think way more rewarding. CCW is just going through the same level 4 times whereas GI has you solve actual puzzles and forces you to think about the other rooms as you explore it.

No world in tooie was really good other then hail fire peak. Tooie is not bad but a dissapointment compared to its predecessor.

I would like to dedicate this post to the true worst level in the banjo games. What a fucking atrocity.

It's not that bad. It's basically just a big CCW in level layout, the only problem is that none of the caves lead you on to what they contain so there's a lot of trial and error in that aspect.

I think GI is complicated and obtuse to the point of being frustrating. It's all of BT's major complaints crammed into one level. It had one of the worst FPS sections, it has one of the most annoying transformations, the whole level is built around keeping the player from progressing through the level as slowly as possible, and I don't think that's fun.

On the otherhand, CCW has one environment that you progressively alter to see how the level changes, which points the focus on figuring out how the level is changing rather than just making a maze and saying GO.

If you find GI fun, that's fine, but I think it's an awful chore of a world.

It does have the worst FPS section but I think Washer Banjo was the best of the Tooie transformations. You're gated into particular parts of each floor so it's never hard to find you way back to an elevator, and figuring out how to get to make Skivvy reachable made the Washer satisfying to use.
I'm also personally fine with the design of first unlocking all the floors before clearing out them of collectibles since it helps ease you into the world and get a sense of where everything is, making the actual puzzles of getting the jiggies less frustrating to complete. I don't think playing Tooie for speed is the way to go. You have to have an exploratory mindset, with the platforming being the means to explore.
