So what was the story of the old hunters dlc?
Well, you get transported to the Hunter's Nightmare and then you explore until you find Ludwig, who you kill.
Then you go into the Research Hall and Simon tells you to kill Maria to find the secret of the Nightmare, so you do.
She drops an item that lets you use the Astral Clocktower to enter the Fishing Hamlet, where you explore until you find and kill Orphan (fighting Brador along the way) which clears up the sky and makes the "sun" go away.
And that's the story of The Old Hunters.
