Keep your distance and bait his jump attack. If it's jumping shield slam, free hits. Jumping axe attack could have a follow-up so you need to pay attention. Learn how many hits you can get in then gtfo and gain some distance again. Constantly moving also helps with not getting hit by his air support.

Depends on your weapon speed, he may be proportionately easier with a speedier weapon than Nameless.
I though he was easier than nameless and still didn't parry with sellswords unbuffed.
Once you take note which attacks in the first phase can never really hit you because they go over your head it's just a matter of attacking during those and when you know he's temporarily down.
I've never tried but maybe anything with a lowered stance is super good against him since the souls series just have so much hitbox porn and this fight especially because of how gestures just completely shut him down.

Lothric is a super pushover based on my performance against other bosses like Gundyr (Keeping in mind I was pretty shit at the game my first playthrough because standard Halberd).

Just made my third character, now a Dex/Luck Thief that will be using Daggers or Twinblades, so basically very short weapons.

On NG+4 I beat all of them pretty much first time. I died twice on Dragonslayer because he destroys more of the environment I think and I got knocked off.
The only noticeable difference I saw in strength was Crystal Sage actually. Did tons more damage even with magic resistant armor. And Champion Gundyr is still the most annoying boss imo. He's so fast and aggressive so it's pretty hard to find a chance to heal sometimes.

So ranking bosses seems pointless, every player has their own weaknesses. Like the "hardest" boss, Nameless King went down so easily if you just use the Dragonslayer Greatshield. But if your build doesn't have the strength to wield it, the fight could be really tough.

A useful hint I could give for this fight is to bait out his 3-hit combo and roll into his back as he does the final swing, this final swing is very easily projected and the recovery time after that should be long enough to land a hit ot 2 and back out. It's a pretty safe strategy.
