I'd quite fancy a plot that gave you reason to join the various factions of Tamriel. Let's say some of Alduins more hardcore followers fled to Akavir and started amassing an army to invade Tamriel for re-enslavement and you have to convince Vampires, Assassins, Thieves, Mages, Warriors and others to join you in defence of Tamriel. When you start the Final Main Quest (Or even multiple quests in a Point-Of-No-Return chain) how many factions you've earned the respect of will reflect in the battles.
