There's a difference between changing something and removing a mechanic that has been a rule of the game for two iterations. Next you're going to tell me SMNC was a great game because "The rules have changed".
It's almost like people start getting tired of games when you make the same one over and over and over and over again in the span of approximately a year and a half between each release.
I got my fill with Demon Souls and Dark Souls, thank you very much. Couldn't finish Dark Souls 2 and couldn't be arsed to go play Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3 or any of the Dark Souls knockoffs, including the "IT'S [GENRE] BUT DARK SOULS."

To be fair dude, you should check out Nioh, it's definitely in its own when it comes to gameplay yet most people complain and say its a "Dark souls but too hard for me".
Also to be fair, Bloodborne was very different to the main games, and 2 was the most different in series I would say as well, and I like it for that reason.

I'm not going to deny that, Dark Souls 2 tried changing a lot of things and people think it's the "Worst" souls game, despite it being second best only to Demon's Souls if people just gave it a chance.
Although you have to admit, even if poise was removed, having a poise NUMBER in the game still despite it barely doing anything is just a kick in the balls, since you can easily say poise is broken now when punching heavy armors staggers them, but if it wasn't there, it might not have been the case since a lot of people kept saying "POISE IS STILL THERE".

It feels like a blend of mechanics from DaS and DeS. Stuff like the reintroduction of proper death penalties, a central level-up NPC, and proliferate recovery items, as well as the dead end nature of many levels.
