How is the original? I always start playing it then stop a couple hours in. Think I got to the base after you go through a bathroom or something like that.
Thought it was awesome, but got stuck on the first quest trying to infiltrate a building so I uninstalled.

I replayed Deus Ex 1 I don't know how many times, even as far back as 2008, but I only get to the part when you reach France.
They portray the game as a stealth game, even complimenting you if you choose stealth equipment and stealth tactics, but after the tutorial and first map, stealth is kinda thrown out the window. Never did like how playing complete stealth and ghost is completely fucking tedious and almost nigh impossible. Guess I should just replay it again and fuck it with stealth and use the cool stuff the game provides like laser swords, rocket launchers and noscoping fags with the snipe.

Horrible boss battles and a "pick this button" ending. It screams "rushed" and hopefully the delay for the sequel means something. Get it right this time lads.

I get bored once I'm in Hell's Kitchen and cheat to the trooper station in Hong Kong. Then that means cheating in the weapons I had and aw fuck game ruined.
It's so fucking garbage until Hong Kong. Then some fuckhead says "wait until Hong Kong, it gets good then." Motherfucker why am I throwing away three hours for Hong Kong? The game should start where it gets good. It should make me slog through a BAD FUCKING GAME until I get to the good part.

It's a casual filter.
It's a drag without über augs and weapons in the first levels, but the conspiracy shit and the multi approach level design is there. And once you develop JC a bit and get better, it rewards you.
If you can't appreciate this, play Fallout 4 or whatever is designed for your very limited brain.

I loved the game, but most of the weapons were pretty useless in retrospect.
I think that all I'd need for a second playthrough are the upgraded revolver with explosive rounds and the suppressed pistol.

I really feel like it was a great first attempt. Even if you have to actually be much more bold to make the AI seem intelligent. It's like "oh, everyone but me is dead but I'm going back to watching TV."
The AI is so fucking stupid in HR that it's unreal. You can camp out in an elevator shaft and wait for everyone to forget the fact that they have three dead people next to them.
