Answer isn't as bad as everyone says, it's just a ~20 hour dungeon crawler mostly with story bits thrown in here and there. A bit boring but it has some pretty good moments (also heartful cry)

Played P3P first, and it felt way better than FES. It didn't need to be in 3D for the walking around parts, and the loading is atrocious.

P3P lets you suck shota-cock.
P3P is better in pretty much every way.
FES loads all the fucking time, including every time you move to a new area, and load times can reach 20 seconds. P3P has virtually no load times.
The Answer isn't worth playing - maybe read up on the major plot points, but it was pretty bland and repetitive. P3P FeMC route is fucking adorable and definitely worth playing.
FES's difficulty came from your partners being complete bumblefucks and using Marin Karin all the time for literally no reason. P3P is actually re-balanced around being able to control your party, and as a result it's a bit more fair and difficult, which is what we needed exactly. As well, P3P's has the option to let the partners act on their own and their A.I. was redone to not be absolutely retarded, so your partners won't use completely useless moves if you choose to let them act on their own.
The only thing FES has is the walking models, which aren't really fantastic. It offers no real change to the core gameplay.

There's like 30 minutes worth in the entire 50+ hour game. They're not that impressive anyway.
While party control is "better" from a technical point of view, I feel like it takes away from the game as a whole. The AI party can be difficult to get a handle on but it does work when you actually use your tactics. I thought it was an interesting idea and helped make the characters feel more independent

Nocturne would be more you speed. Make sure you also play Strange Journey. Persona games are great but if you're already started down the main series path then just stay with that. If you ever come to a point at which you want to make friends instead of kill them give P3 a whirl
