Any of you guys know by any chance if there will be an update to the d3d11 renderer any time soon?
never played Gothic 1 or 2 and I couldn't get in to 3. Risen 1 however, is one of my favourite games. Should I try Gothic 1 &/or 2?

I was trying to get into this series but it's so awful. What's so great about it? The combat is awful, and the graphics are outdated and ugly to look at. The plot for 1 and 2 looks pretty boring too

bad graphics aren't a problem famalam, clunky controls are another thing but I guess Risens controls were pretty poor.
Alright I'll try Gothic, should I start with 1 or just jump straight to 2?

How demanding is the dx11 mod (and other graphical mods) for Gothic 1? I'm planning to play through it for the first time this summer, on mygaming laptop
