Agreed. People who praise this POS should really go through it again with a modern lense. All that shit Miyamato said about there being too much dialogue is 100% is true in this. There are pages upon pages of boring, dull, literally generic JRPG storytelling. The writing is actually cringe-worthy, and only an edgy middle schooler would find it attractive. There's not even mentioning the shitty gameplay, which does nothing to carry it.

The fact that people actually consider this a legitimately good game, even on its own merits, is astonishing. I know the FF fanbase is mostly comprised of hormonal teenagers and emotionally-stunted manchildren but surely they would have at least SOME standards, and not just gobble up any half-assed cash grab spinoff farted out by Square Enix.
