Soul Nomad, made by the same devs that does the Disgaea series. It's very different from that series though, it's my favorite tactics rpg. It plays like Ogre Battle in some respects, but there's a lot of customization here. The characters are kind of flat but Gig makes up for the entire cast

They're fairly different aside from being story focused with puzzles so I couldn't say. 999 has a much more oppressive atmosphere, but it has a sense of humor too. The puzzle parts are a little like the investigation parts of Ace Attorney, but not that much. I love both series a lot though. Judging by your 3x3, I think you'd enjoy it.

Dark Cloud is a really cool game. You go in dungeons to re build towns. If you build the town to help problems the citizens are having then good things will happen. You have hunger, thirst, multiple characters to play at any time, fun unique challenges along the way, and a really interesting weapon system. Also it's comfy as fuck.

Yeah, it was only released in Japan, but I played it on an emulator and basically just improved on the already great prequel.
OoT didn't sit well with me. It felt like it tried to be many different things and didn't succed at any of them. The puzzles were not as much "puzzles" as dragged out obstacles. The exploration was dull since there was nothing to find. All the cutesie affectionate girls made it feel like a shallow harem simulator. And the combat felt bareboned. The music was good though.

Man, I disagree with almost everything you just said.
OoT wasn't trying to be 'many different things'. It was trying to be one thing: an adventure. I think it succeeded at that very well. Hyrule Field is mostly empty, but there's still plenty of little things to be found, little secrets scattered throughout the world.
What are puzzles if not obstacles? WHile, yeah I agree that a good portion are dull and a little dragged out, most them are fine and accomplished what they we're placed for: a challenge and test of your knowledge and skills you've learned up to that point. They seem pretty rudimentary now-a-days, but they still hold up fine.

I have no fucking idea where you drew that conclusion. 3/4's of the female cast are important to the story and are sages. There's not a whole lot of affectionate writing or manners out of any of them, except for Ruto. I think projecting something, or anime was rotted your brain to come up with that one.

The Zero series is pretty cool on paper, but I feel like the practically zoomed-in camera, its unique upgrading system and having ranks changes the Mega Man formula in a way I cannot enjoy.
The other titles are solid.
