Are the sphere grids the same as they were in the original International version or not? The shape of the expert sphere grid looks completely different, could just be me not remembering stuff right though.

I think generally going for max stats means trading the unnecessary points in agility/luck to reach 99,999 HP. Since he's only hitting 73k HP, that's probably where the difference is coming from.
