I've been playing video games since my family got a PC in 2000 and only recently heard MOBA babbies using any of those terms. When I played TFC, I certainly never heard anyone using the term "tank".
Anyway, I've already heard people voice concerns on this forum that Overwatch is not long for this world because it lacks content. My prediction is that to keep the game going, Blizzard is going to take the DOTA formula even further and start releasing new "heroes" like LoL. They'll also probably add in some kind of tower game mode in order to "pay homage" (translation: we want the retard audience) to DOTA.

TF2 is a shitty game. Undeniably shit.
These are permanent pub games, designed to level out skill. Extremely good players and extremely bad players, while still being on opposite ends of the spectrum, are brought closer together by the class system and weapons.
The extremely good player should absolutely dominate the bad players, but they wont in these games. They will only be slightly better, because the good players will roll harder characters to play and be at a slight advantage (with room to improve but not too much), whereas the worse players will play easier characters, which get them 90% of the way there with no way to improve.
The biggest clue in overwatch is the low health hard to play skill characters, facing off against Large area of effect lots-o-health characters. Its TF2 heavy/pyro vs scout all over again.
