Indie developers tend to worry more about how the game plays, then how it looks.
If you ever hear that game development costs lots of money, it's because most of that is being paid to artists to make the game look good.
On consoles, you have the publishers, and the console makers, enforcing certain standards, meaning that the game looks good enough. All the "So this is the power of the ___" threads you see here reinforce that mentality. Sony/MS/Nintendo don't want a bad looking game to hurt their reputation.
With PC, you have nothing stopping a small team from putting the game on their website, or putting it on Humble or Steam or the other storefronts, where they really don't care how bad it looks.

It's actually the cost of graphics that is holding PC and general graphics down.

Its not that, its there is certain kind of 'wacky' I really like and its mostly done by jap devs, who for some reason prefer consoles.
Please tell me you have something like Katamari, Kurushi final, resonance of fates, Bayonetta, incredible crisis, Bishi Bashi, turn based tactics games like Final Fantasy or RPG that have someone else as your enemy than a rugged bearded man with a gun (that said Silent Storm, 7.62 Calibre, XCOM are quite good but I would like something bit more original)
As for now I am totally in love with flight sims tho, I even bought myself whole quadrant, joystick camera for freetrack.
Red Orchestra also was the game I put more hours than in any of the final fantasies, every damn evening I was sitting down with my bros and fucking plow trough the battlefield (then life happened and I had to take a break)

The only thing that has really improved in SBPR was more unique locations with special H animations. Outside of that, the girls stats and related interactions are way more simple.
It makes H a promise rather than a surprise, while completely removing the ability to play a more passive role.
AA2 for example was so much more active that you could eventually get raped for just going to school normally. SBPR you fill out the same 3 requirements per personality type, then 'unlock' whatever you feel like doing. Characters can't come to you at any point.
