Modded Hearts of Iron III. I dont care what /gsg/ says, Black Ice mod has made the game exactly how I want it. Using actual strategy and tactics in the strategy genre is such a breath of fresh air. This invasion of the Soviet Union has been easily one of the most intensive and enjoyable things a video game has ever made me do.

I'm playing Sub Culture, fampai. It's a lot like Freelancer but underwater. You're a member of a race of tiny little one inch tall people who hid their whole civilization underwater from us full size humans.
You do a lot of exploration, resource trading to make $$$ to upgrade your sub, you do missions for 2 factions (the third are pirates and are hostile no matter what)
The story, cutscenes and humor are really charming. It is overall a very cozy game too.

STEP 2: download the patch, which fixes a few annoying bugs. The download for that is on the same page as the full ISO.
STEP 3: During installation, select the 3DFX version, and a full 200mb install. Once it's installed, put the patch (SCPATCH.EXE) into the game folder and run it.
STEP 4: Install nGlide. This is a wrapper that will let you run the 3D accelerated version of the game on modern hardware.

not playing anything atm but earlier I was playing 3D World and mario 64, VC.
3D World has great music, great visuals, great controls, and enough reasons to explore to make every level feel perfectly paced and dense. It's honestly a 10/10 for me, I fucking love it. Each level is a blast to play through.
Mario 64 hasnt aged flawlessly, but its still a great game. going from 3D World to this is a bit jarring, mainly because of the controls. It offers more depth, but its not as smooth. But yeah, 64 is still really fun to play.
