That's subjective, but it's definitely in my top 10.
Im really having a hard time enjoying it, although I think a big part of that is because I havent played the other games. The whole game feels like a chore, and the quen sign makes it pretty easy. Currently in that quest where you go with Kiera into the cave and fight the Wild Hunt for the first time and am not having much fun.
Think I should continue? I really hope it gets better, maybe its just not my type of game.

You're a little ways into it, but I would probably recommend at least playing 2 before jumping into 3. It gets you relatively up to speed with the story, and gets you familiar with the main cast of characters (aside from Yen and Ciri).
Would say it's "objectively" since it's not really that innovative but I love this game, and Witcher 1 as well

Yes. It gets better. Also, if you left white Orchard too early you have to grind a lot for the first few quests in velen. Get back to white Orchard and do some side quests

I played 1 and 2 to completion and can agree with you. The open world format truly shit on it and the combat. I forced myself to play 20 some hours of it, but ultimately it just didn't feel worth it.
I was really fucking hyped for it too, haven't had buyers remorse that hard since DN:F
