Goten transformed training with Chi Chi. I think due to his parentage SSJ wasn't something he had to unlock like Goku and Gohan, its just an ability he had that he had to learn to use.

I liked Super Saiyan God more than Super Saiyan Blue. SSG was more unique visually and I liked how it actually made Goku more slender rather than roiding him out and the fire aura was pretty neat even if the effects were kind of weird in the movie.
Super Saiyan Blue just looks like a fanmade transformation by just slapping blue hair onto SSJ 1.

Him becoming the new hero is kinda pointless if the old hero is still involved in his victory. It's not a passing of the torch if the person passing the torch is still there actively defeating the enemy that the new hero is too weak to defeat on their own.

I remember when Vegeta's blue form came out and everyone panicked, and people hoped it just meant anyone who got a god state got their own unique ki color that reflected their personality in some way.
