I honestly had no idea this even existed and when it popped up it just looked like a cheap Overwatch clone, so bad marketing maybe?
But I think it also tries to aim at a demographic that doesn't really exist. People who play ASSFAGGOTS will continue playing their shitty LoL or DotA and shooter fags either play CoD, CS:GO or singleplay stuff.
I don't know who they're appealing to with this. You could say the same about Overwatch but they have the huge Blizzard name behind them which already guarantees them millions of copies sold.

Ever get the idea it was targeted towards console plebs who wanted to hop on the moba wagon while also getting more memelands? Of course it's bombing on PC. Gearbox has been quiet on sales and the price cut is pretty indicative of awful sales, but who the fuck was going to pay $60 or even $40 to tread over gameplay they've had in at least 3 other f2p games on PC?

OW scheduled an open beta a few days after battleborn released. There was a massive drop in players for battleborn on the first day, but it returned to normal the next.
