It should have been much longer with way more character development.
I liked seeing the characters doing their shit.

WC3 has nothing in common with the first or second wars, though. The story would have to veer off in a completely different direction. Why did they bother developing the Horde and all the orc characters only to ship them off-screen to Kalimdor while the Frozen Throne arc plays out? Thrall would be the only character audiences would know from the first movie, and he never even interacts with Arthas.
Not to mention you'd need to introduce so many new elements. Illidan needs to show up, so we'd need to introduce the night elves. The Legion, too. The movie's pacing would be totally fucked.
And finally, Arthas is just a shitty character to begin with who embodies the classic "good guy gets corrupted heel-face-turn" Blizzard trope.
An Arthas/Frozen Throne movie would be a terrible investment. The story would have to be re-written to the point that it wouldn't even resemble WC3.
