Am I playing the game wrong? why is it so easy? playing on Broken Bones or whatever difficulty and level 25 now, can kill pretty much anything with ease with a combination of kiting yrden alt, igni spam and going in for a whack while quen is up
Also 1shot a boss yesterday, accidently used quen(didnt even know it worked) on a boss and it knocked it over, instakill move poped up

It's full of useless gimmicks. Like bersekers. There are 4 in the entire deck. They need another card that plays like a horn to "upgrade" into a 8 strength card with bounding. Wow. It has no spies. It only has a shitty medic, it has a pseudo Dandelion that works in siege, a rank you'll probably have empty as the only good siege unit is a three card bounding combo. They only have 2 leaders, one of them is literally useless. Literally. The other one is meh.
It is weak against scorchs, it cannot summon as much as monsters.

Well when I heard the game had big ass monsters in it and required preperation before each fight, so I went full into the alchemy tree to mix match potions and such
in the end any monster just dies instantly the moment I strike them with my sword even on the second-hardest difficulty, they just fall over, so with spamming I mean that they die in 1-3 igni's, and that is with a gimmick alchemy potion/bomb build taking whatever I want at random and this could've been way worse were I to use any runes at all and min-max my stats
the game feels slow and with the content it has with the monster prep and bestiary and such, it feels like they could've done so much more
Was just wondering what makes this game a "GOTY 10/10" in other peoples eyes, because I just cant see it, combat is boring, slow and dull, dialogue is either Yes or No (sometimes accompanied with the shitty broken sign that allows you to bypass without consequences) which makes it yet again, dull. Story is quite alright and the setting is amazing but once I am playing in the actual setting it just feels like it could've been a great game, but isn't.

Death March felt pretty challenging up until you get some witcher armor or alt Quen. I felt like I cheated when I unconsciously made myself an defensive adrenaline build with alt Quen and medium armor stamina regeneration boosts. Posting this here because the thread talking about which DLC was better 404d before I could post.
Haven't finished Blood and Wine yet. Done Hearts of Stone.
I love the atmosphere in B&W, it's such a nice change from everything-is-shit Velen/Novigrad
As someone that really enjoys Gwent, I do NOT like the Skellige deck. Hearts of Stone also had excellent Gwent players.
I thought they revealed The Beast too early, they could have done more with that. Built it up a little.
A few of the bosses from Hearts of StoneThe Keeper, Olgeird's Wife, and the Spirit afterwardsfucking sucked. Gimmicky bullshit.
The overall story of Hearts of Stone was pretty nice, I would elaborate more, but don't want half the text to be spoilered.
The Hanse gangs pose excellent, drawn out fights. Only complaint is there aren't enough of them.
Story in B&W looks great so far, not too far in though. We'll see.
Grandmaster armour and weapons are kickass, and they look incredible.
New monsters on both expansions are more dangerous than the vanilla stuff. Fuck Aracnomorphs and Arachospores.
The characters in both are interesting.
REALLY enjoyed the wedding in Hearts. It was fun, light-hearted, and Shani was a delight.
Fighting The Beastthe first time thus-farwas a nice challenge. Not even in a gimmicky way, just a nice, powerful opponent.
Overall? I can't really decide. They're both good, very good.
Also the graphical updates that came with 1.20 were very much welcome. The game looks much better, with little performance loss on my laptop (used to be a high end gaming laptop, now more of a mid-range, beginning to show it's age)
