I would suggest waiting then until the price drops down. The game is heavily focused on team composition and teamplay, so even if you are a god in FPS you can't carry your team in OW.

If you really want to play it, then go for it. It can be fun in short 2-3 game session but I wouldn't say that it's worth $40.

I play a lot more soloqueue and I haven't had too much trouble. You get your stomps on both sides but I've had a lot of close games and added a few people to my friends list

I play plenty of solo and it's not bad. Occasional shit players but overall the game is lots of fun.

It's only bad if you rage at vidya. If you're one of those who gets viscerally angry and rage over trivial shit in a video game, then don't bother this game isn't for you.
