Stoneskin can be replaced by simply using Nucturnal before the combat, shielding and switching back to Dir when the fight starts. Casting stoneskin during combat is a waste in most cases.
The spell that cuts your casting times by 2.5 seconds is your Swiftcast + Raise. or you could not be shit and not let people die. Also, be sure to stance dance as AST seeing that your DPS isn't too shabby.

Stoneskin honestly isn't essential. It's not worth casting midfight in any DF content. If you really need shields, you can always go Nocturnal anyway. I don't know about high end raid content, but I'd assume a Scholar (which as I understand is almost mandatory anyway) can handle all your damage buffering needs. The essentials are Swiftcast, Protect and Cleric Stance.

They're releasing new housing wards next week, but there's no way you'll be able to get enough money to buy even a small house if you start now and they'll likely be gone within hours. After that, you might be able to get one buy buying from other players but since you can't directly sell your house, you'll have to pay the seller's price for them to relinquish the plot plus the base price of the house after. If you do get a house, you can make a pretty comfy home for yourself though. I've cleared out my entire schedule for Tuesday just so I can maximize my chances of getting the plot I want.

With the 2.0 raid, there was only one difficulty level, so if you wanted to see the story, you had to do it, plus the story was a direct continuation of what happened between 1.0 and 2.0.
But now people can just do Normal, get some gear, and ignore the harder one. Which by the way is HARD, way harder than the 2.0 endgame was, at least 30% of the people who did endgame raiding wound up quitting the game due to how bullshit the fights were, with low interest rewards.

Alexander is a casual raid. Any retard can clear it.
Alexander Savage is a copypasted version of the casual raid with a few new mechanics and the numbers scaled up.
Savage isn't unique simply because story mode exists; before you challenge the former you've already seen everything it has inside.
This is in contrast with Coil where the environments, bosses, music, story, everything was unique to that raid. And to see more you had to earn that right.

A wow clone. No. Final fantasy is a bit more lifelike. Hugely based around mythology. Wow is very cartoony. It has a lot of fans, but it's not my taste of game. FF14 is a great game if you don't mind the grind. I don't play it anymore. Don't have the time.

It's a diferent concept with a MMO base. You have only 1 character and that character can play all the jobs (classes for you) by switching it's main hand weapon.
The PVE progression "forces" you to complete the content in order, not like in WoW where you can jump to the last raid when you reach max lvl.
