So I just bought the game for [spoilers]PS4[/spoilers] and I'm having trouble with Magma Worm and the Vagrant. Is there a decent way to beat them?

difficult depending on class. get a class like commando or sniper that have invulnurability abities and dodge the worm dive. If you roll low mobility classes like enforcer or acrid pick the right items to counter that such as hooves and feathers.

Magma worm only hurts you if you stand on ground while it enters or leaves ground. ANd the fire puddle after it.
So, get on either a geyser or a rope and it won't hurt you. The normal worm won't.
The overloading one will wreck you no matter what.

oh I forgot to mention a really nice trick to beat the worm if you have low mobility is to find a jump platform. stand next to it and jump up everytime the worm comes for you, you will fly above him so he cannot dive for you anymore.
