Bought a PS4 cheap as fuck and got Bloodborne 50% off (with its DLC).
I don't regret it, Bloodborne is literally the best game i've played. I hope some games come out to justify the PS4 itself though because as it stands i'm still going to game primarily on PC (I have a pretty good rig, 980 + 4690K so obviously I won't be using the PS4 for multiplats) but Bloodborne was so good that I don't even mind.

I went full idort this gen and while the Wii U isn't any better than the PS4, I have held on to it because at least it has games of value I can't get anywhere else.
Sold the PS4 for $275 which I consider a pretty decent price.
Mainly game on PC now but the X1 surprisingly gets more playtime than the PS4 ever did, largely thanks to the backwards compatibility.

The only way would be to implement the backwards compatibility chip and that would make the cost of the console itself to rise at least 100-150$ (the price you can get a brand new PS3 for).

I bought one literally just for bloodborne and had pretty high buyers remorse after a month or so
Bloodborne is literally the only game worth owning, and it's full of odd design decisions that made me enjoy the game a lot less.
It's kind of obnoxious to see the two ludwig posts here, because that was really not indicative of BB as a whole experience, well over half the main games bosses were awful, the areas were dull, tedious and full of repetetive enemies in large sets.
The dlc was pretty good though, and that's really all I could think after playing it, the main game itself was pretty terrible, the lamp-dream-lamp teleporting, the blood vial/purchasing/farming lingering over you the entire time, the shit content after old yharnam, and the absolutely atrocious online multiplayer, seriously what the fuck were they thinking
Hopefully Nier and whatever from software do next with sony will be better
