Is this the best vidya accessory of all time?
>>
>>339642868
yes, fuck nintendo for not releasing a ds player
>>
>>339642868
I'm surprised that Nintendo even did this.
>>
what is that
>>
>>339642941
How would a DS player even work? Oh shit, you could use the WiiU pad as the bottom touchscreen and the TV as the uppermost screen!
>>
>>339643453

They made DS virtual console games for Wii U you know.
>>
>>339642868
Super Gameboy was better 2bh.
>>
>>339643778
That don't count!
>>
It's pretty neat you can use them for crystal chronicles and four swords adventures. I had four gamecubes plugged into a wii.
>>
>>339644235

How'd you get that many consoles?
>>
>>339643778
>Gb player
>plays catridges you already have

>virtual console
>pay again for games you already bought
>>
>>339644021
The gameboy player is more accurate if you use homebrew software.
>>
>>339644456
By not being a poorfag.
>>
>>339644456
gamecubes are dirt cheap home slice
>>
Super Gameboy was better for original Gameboy games

No, it is this thing hands down. Pre-internet era, bootleg SFC games loaded on floppy discs that you can buy / copy from Chinese mall for 2 bucks each.
>>
This shit was so cash
>>
>Unlike devices such as Datel's Advance Game Port, the Game Boy Player does not use software emulation, but instead uses physical hardware nearly identical to that of a Game Boy Advance.
Damn, that's pretty impressive
>>
>>339643064
Perfection incarnate.
>>
>>339644456

Most of my friends already had the gamecubes and gba players, just bought the cables.

The controller was great too.
>>

>That Hori pad
How much?
>>
>>339645668
Paid 40-50 back 6-7 years ago I think. Now they are really high.

Same for the Hori N64 controller.
>>
>>339646069
Nice.
I used to think it was uselss for the gamecube back in the day, but know I realize it could improve my experience in some games.
>>
>>339644456
I got a gamecube with all accessories for $10 at a pawn shop once.
>>
>>339646273
It's great for the Megaman collections and all 2D platformers.
>>
>>339645171
The original Super Gameboy had incorrect speed because of using the SNES CPU, which the Super Gameboy 2 fixed. Also, even though it's better in the areas of custom colors, special borders, and sometimes gameplay improvements through using the SNES console itself, the gameboy player still more accurately runs GB games, even if only slightly.

The GB player is the more expensive part.

>having to use the street lights
>>
>>339646535
it's garbage
>>
>>339646491
>tfw too dumb to know I had to use flash in Pokemon red at that one cave and that shit helped me beat the cave at night w/o using flash.
>>
>>339646736
i did that too anon
>>
>>339646736
you are me

i was also to stupid to use repels
>>
>>339646736
I taught myself how to navigate through the cave without using Flash.
I memorized the directions I need to make until I hit a wall to hear the noise.
I was able to get through that cave pretty quick once I learned the path.

Haha, I don't even need to worry about that shit, check out the backlit GBA I got.
>>
>>339646535
Fucking awesome for games that work with it (action/adventure games, platformers, Smash Bros.), abysmal for other types of games (shooters, conventional fighters)
Resident Evil 4 felt great on this controller, but imagine trying to do dual-stick shooting with it. I don't know how my friend could stand that in Star Fox Assault's multiplayer, the analog R-button feels too weird for shooting to me.
>>
>>339646518
The disc is but apparently there is a homebrew version of the disc that is better
>>
>>339647076
Better use the money on an SD action replay.

>>339647625

Can't you use Home Bros?
>>
>>339643059
>GBA sold great
>GC sold like shit
It was an act of desperation, and not one that paid off.
>>
>>339647851
Sure. Haven't tried it myself, but I'm pretty sure that should work.
>>
>>339646518
>>339647076
I bought a second hand GBP recently, cheap but no disc obviously. I wonder if I could load that software on a normal GC memory card through my hacked Wii

>>339647029
Clever. Too bad about no GB/GBC play
>>
>>339648235

If you have a hacked Wii and Super Smash Bros Melee, you can use Home Bros.
>>
>>339648313
>Home Bros
Never heard of it, thanks. I only have Brawl tho, Melee is kinda expensive around these parts. Would a copy of the ISO running through DIOS MIOS work or does it need to be the physical disc?
>>
>>339648854

Just having files on the memory card isn't enough to let your Gamecube run homebrew. You need an unofficial disc like an Action Replay or a game with an exploit like Melee.

A hacked Wii can load whatever files you want onto the memory card, without having to jump through hoops.
>>
>>339648854
>melee is kind of expensive
How? I bought it a year ago for $20.
>>
>>339643778
yeah like A WHOLE 2 games
>>
>>339649195
I'm guessing Burgeristan yes? Well in my 3rd world country I've only seen copies running for 30+, in really shit condition. I should probably just borrow it from someone
>>339649013
Thanks again, I should try this shit myself and see what works
>>

Maybe you have one of the exploit games already, or maybe one of those exploit games is cheaper.

>>
>>339650125

Just to make sure everything is covered;

You can use GCMM to move a save file from an SD card or a USB stick onto a GCN memory card using your Wii.
http://wiibrew.org/wiki/GCMM

Game Boy Interface is the alternative to the official Game Boy Player disc.
http://www.gc-forever.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2782

If you actually do this, you'll even be able to run burned games on your Gamecube.
