None of the games of MP9 I played had much input from the dice mattering at all. I realize the point is to sabotage players with dice and did so intentionally. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Either way is wasn't very fun. Part of that is that mario party is supposed to be about minigames, and in mP9's case there weren't nearly enough of them in each game. Getting to play 20 minimum in a short game of mario party is part of what made it fun in the first place. Mp9 should have upped the count, not lowered it. Worse still is how long it takes the transitions on the MP9 minigames to happen because they have to turn every damn minigame into a 'here is how you hold the controller' charade. Even 8 was better in this regard and it was on the wii too.
If anything the dice change is worse than minigames because in addition to not affecting the power of luck as much as minigames do, it's still fucking luck as to whether you even get the ability to fuck with other people's rolls. It's a chance-based chance modifier that may or may not even get a chance to be relevant. That's really fucking better than a minigame every turn to earn coins with which to buy stars and, you know, get closer to victory.
Finally, part of what makes mario party fun in the first place is the very fuck you that they tried to remove. It's enjoyable to be a giant asshole to your friends once in a while, and mario party (and other nintendo local multiplayer) recognizes that. With MP9 and MP10 it turns into a goddamn joke. No one gets mad or upset, it's just "Aw dang, guess you rolled high enough to avoid my trap anyway! Maybe next time I'll get you! Oh, the game is over? That was fun, I guess."
Fuck the retardmobile, it made mario party into nofunallowed: hurt feelings edition, and sucked all fun out of the series. You and anyone else who likes the car and what it brought with it can kindly proceed to shove a toy car up your ass.

I agree that cars aren't perfect but I still believe they bring interesting stuff to the game.
As for the control scheme of the games, I disagree,it's pretty easy to quickly check the control like any MP.You have to point/hold the controller correctly to make sure you got it right at the start of the minigame, which is still pretty fast if nobody playing is braindead.
I had a good amount cool moments, big comeback and people getting rekt very hard playing MP9.
Moreover, unlike the old MP which would let everybody tired most of the time, people would naturally ask for another round.
It would be great to have both option, but I do like the car and wish it would stay and be improved.
In fact I will probably buy MP10 in a few months since I will receive people. Who knows, maybe I'll hate it too, but if it's as good as MP9 I'll be satisified.
