Neither have I, other than Enter the Gungeon which was fun at first but gets old fast. Dark Souls 3 looks fun but I don't want to buy a console or graphics card just to play it and I have been able to scrape by on integrated graphics for this long. I might buy a Wii U one day if used prices go lower, play the Mario games and Pikmin on it, then sell it. It looks like a decent system but not enough to pay full price for it. This gen overall IMO has been extremely mediocre.

He's not supposed to die yet. You didn't damage him enough, but you got close. The stunned animation only triggers if you do enough damage to bring his HP down to a specific threshold. It doesn't trigger because you took it down to 0. If you do enough damage the first time around, the enemy just dies. There are some challenges where you have to trigger glory kills so I had to try and not do too much damage and kill them by accident. Te game isn't keeping enemies alive so you can fatality them. You're just doing a shit job of killing them quickly.
There is a rune upgrade you can get that actually makes enemies who are close to the glory kill threshold to take less damage so you can glory kill them more often, but the base game does not work like that.

I blinded myself to the "firehose of internet drama" and got burned, that's my point.
I'll be honest, I enjoyed Pixel Piracy for the first hour, but then the save-crippling bugs appeared and had to drop it out of frustration. I found out later that the dev kept breaking the game in new ways with every patch and then dropped it completely in a dire state after moving on to their new project.
It's brain-dead simple rogue-ish/FTL-like to play once you get used to the controls, and I can enjoy that kind of thing. Past the shitty graphics, the mechanics would be alright if not for the bugs and shit that will apparently never be fixed.
I regret it entirely because of that - I want to play more, but shit's busted, yo.

Logically I end up playing 90s and 00s vidya on PC and emulators for whatever can be emulated.
When I see a game with amazing modern graphics it makes me wish they still made good games.

Whoops, forgot about Magicka 2 and Undertale. Both great, finished games, and both from last year.
Still I'm hooked on Ring Runner because I must have the most ridiculous arsenal of ships of anyone who ever played the game and I'm still not satisfied.
