Even though I'm a Zelda fan, (and despite the fact that most of us treat E3 as a joke anyway) Nintendo showing what is essentially a Let's Play hosted by Treehouse is beyond lame and one of the stupidest PR related decisions they have ever made.
On the other hand, times have changed. Casuals now permeate the industry and Zelda seems like the only Nintendo franchise they actually care about, so I'm interested to see whether casuals like the livestream it or not. If casuals honestly like it, I'm sure even "journalists" will follow suit. Nintendo's worst E3 might be remembered fondly simply because it gave "US GAMERS" what we apparently wanted the entire time.
