Fuck, I LOVED it! Did all the endings.

That storyline was the bomb.

BAMP

It was was pretty average tbqh. Much worse than HoS

Reported to the FBI.

No, fuck that shit. Replayed it three times, didn't get the good ending.

It felt like something Bioware would write

Not playing for the story. I like the Italy Simulator with some french names scattered all around.

>Italy

What. It's a carbon copy of the Languedoc-Roussillon.

Oh and the whay they speak english.
>>
>>339580997
Everyone speaks French, the names of the places are French. All the characters have French names.

How could you infer the game is inspired from Italian culture.
>>
>>339581075
>Everyone speaks French
Accent is based on a italian trying to speak english. And I know since I speak like that.

>the names of the places are French
>All the characters have French names.
A mix.

Corvo Bianco, Castel Ravello, Dulcinea, Cianfanelli, the dukal "Camerlengo", Lanzano. I've just started the game.

The place is set in Tuscany's hills, not kidding. (lived there)
Been in southern france, it's similar, but less steepy.

I actually enjoy the mix as a mediterranean.

Nah, Witcher 3 main story felt like Bioware. HoS and BaW both felt like Witcher to varying degrees of quality
>>
It was pretty good.

Though I went through the entire expansion just asking myself:
>where the fuck is Dandelion?
>this quest would be so much better with Dandelion.

And then the credits role, and I go back to my vineyard and there he is. With 3 lines of dialogue. And only because I didn't romance anybody this playthrough, otherwise I would have gotten Yen or slutty Triss to show up instead.

I'm fucking PISSED. The Witcher is over for good now and I didn't get my drunken adventure with my bro Dandelion that I wanted. At least regis was pretty based. Glad Ciri didn't show up and shit everything up.
>>
>>339582220
>The Witcher is over for good now

I'm pretty sure the end confimed there's a next episode.
>>
>>339582306
Well, The Witcher with Geralt is over. The franchise is not.
>>
>>339582306
How so? Seemed like the end was screaming just the opposite to me, what with all talk about now being a good time for a rest, with Geralt staring directly into the camera with a smirk.
>>339582373
The Witcher without Geralt is essentially over. Everything revolves around his character, and no other character is strong enough to replace him as protagonist. And the setting isn't anything special, either. A Witcher without its titular Witcher would be an abomination, they really should just let the series end.

>>339582373

The witcher is over for good, it was supposed to be a trilogy.

barnabus basil is awesome and the story of the previous owner who lost his sense of taste and still threw huge parties so someone could enjoy his wine was neat.

loved the whole snooty "well i never!" uppity attitude of all the people in beauclair, especially during the start when you were getting all the clues to the murder.
>>
>>339582635
I like the world and it's lore enough that i would enjoy pretty much any story in it.

This is the only game made thus far where you actually feel like you can go full Chivalry, and it's not even in a game specifically about romantic knights. This industry really is pretty pathetic. In regards to making the player feel they've stepped into a land of legend, specifically Arthurian, they nailed it better than basically any other game that attempted such a thing.
>>
>>339584016
Because barely any "medieval fantasy" games actually nail the medieval part. They're just using a a made up historic period.

So I've ran into this issue where the game drops down to 15fps occasionally and only restores it framerate if I change from using controller to m+kb. As far as I can tell no one else has this problem, I use motionjoy and a ps3 controller. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this shit?

nah the grim violent 'everything is shit-brown and gray we want the GoT audience' thing most games get right, but they don't bother trying to capture any of the romanticism or courtly love aspects because, well, muh realism and the average fuck who plays vidya thinks that's too cheesy. CDPR embraced it though, I hope down the line at some point they just make a full-blown Arthurian game because they've clearly got it nailed already in most respects.
>>
>>339584229
try a different usb port maybe
>>
>>339583264
I wouldn't. The only thing that makes the world interesting is the way the characters interact with it and put an amusing spin on the genre cliches that Sapkowski deliberately has littered throughout the thing. I mean think about it, remove the characters and distill it down to setting/lore and it would just be bland as hell since it's by design supposed to have all the eye rolling fantasy cliches.

The entire shtick of the Witcher is "standard arthurian/grimm/tolkien fantasy world, but with sardonic lead characters." And Geralt is the primary narrative tool to accomplish that shtick. I wouldn't enjoy a cheap cash in story in that setting that completely misses the point and goes against the spirit of the books and previous games.

so ciri doesn't make an appearance, right? i thought it might be her in the mutation lab, seeing as there were female footprints around, but nothing came of it.

I would say underwhelming, but the best word to use is "expected". or as the kids say, "meh"

I also found the saturation in W3 to be on my limits of acceptance, in the end I got used to it, but this Xpac over-saturates an already over-saturated game to the point of burning/killing colors, it really took some of my enjoyment out but that's my artist OCD triggering, I'm sure most people won't care too much and think its a neat effect that looks pretty.

Now that this is out of the way CDprojectRED can move on to better and more interesting things, hopefuly they have finally moved on to production of Cyberpunk

What level do I have to be to play these DLCs? When should I buy them?
>>
>>339586198
32 and 34 respectively are the recommended start points due to the EXP system. However they provide a pre-leveled character if you wish to just do the DLC.
>>
>>339586198
for Death march it is around 60 i think.
>>
>>339586545
I'm not sure difficulty has anything to do with level needed.

Dandelion literally could show up for about 30 seconds before getting executed or tossed in prison.

His last visit there he had an affair with the Dutchess, and her husband (ho was conviently away questing and shit) even died before finding out, and they were really in love, until Dandelion was caught with a Baroness and Anna banished him instead of straight up executing him.

that fucking quest where you have to help the bitch out with her vineyard and clear those fuckign exploding plants is pissing me right the fuck off right now. I've died 15 times already and the load times are fucking 10 minutes long its bullshit.
>>
>>339590217
>and the load times are fucking 10 minutes long

anon you might want to check you drive's smart data for read errors
>>
>>339590516
>what is exaggeration

nah its 30 seconds but it feels like minutes when you're constantly stuck in them after you die every 2 minutes cause those exploding fucking plants just come out of nowhere. honestly what the fuck is this, its ridiculous, I'm not even playing on a hard difficulty and i just keep dying. this is bullshit. they just come out of nowhere and explode
