I'm about to start another playthrough of RE2. Something I've always wondered though is if it's more optimal for Claire or Leon to get the inventory expansion item? I'm thinking Claire due to the Grenade Launcher, but I can see how it'd be useful for Leon too. What do you guys like to do whenever you play the game?
Normally, I give Claire the gun and Leon the inventory space. I don't know why, I just always have.

Leon has to carry a gun and it's ammo, and between the handgun, shotgun, and Magnum he doesn't have a lot of room to work with as it is. Meanwhile Claire has the handgun and grenade launcher, because her bowgun is worthless. The launcher can hold dozens of shells, too, so you only need three slots for weapons.
I give her the machine gun and leave the side pack for Leon.
