I hope you mean just Mergos boss area because and imo you shouldn't isolate any part of Mensis, the entire level was one of the best levels in the entire souls series period.

Depends which one has the faster attacks. Try to keep a close distance so he doesnt spam his magic attacks. His melee moves are telegraphed very well, so just dodge, go in, hit once or twice and repeat.

If you're using the untricked mode, I'd go with the sword. I feel the moveset is better.
You can parry him if you want to try learning the timing. When he's charging up for his 2nd phase, hit him with a fully charged 2-handed attack from behind. You'll be able to get a visceral attack. You can target the sword he plunges into the ground and destroy it to get rid of the flying ones.

Completely fucking agree. Nothing has quite captured me the way the gigantic labyrinthine building did. I genuinely felt lost in an otherworldly structure with absolutely no way of knowing when I would make it out.

Well Micolash has a nice twisted up fight with great "dialogue", but lets face it, chasing him around is a pain in the ass and his moveset when fighting him consists of muh easily dodged tentacles and muh one shot magic explosion.

The snake part is short as fuck, and literally all you have to do is follow the lanterns.
So I just bought Bloodborne 50% off and this is possibly the best game i've ever played.
I literally can't believe I left it this long to the point where i'm already spoiled on the Lovecraft shit. The combat, setting, lore, art style just clicks so perfectly, I can't get over it bros.

I want to play it so bad after finishing DS3 and hearing BB is considered the best 'souls' game, but I'd have to shovel ~400e for the console+game.
Doing a playthrough for the first time since playing a lot of DaS3. I got to say bloodborne just feels harder to me, even though I know all the bosses and areas pretty well. To be fair im not using the strongest build/weapons but still.
Most of the bosses in DaS3 just feel trivial to me in comparason to even the early bosses in BB such as Gascoigne (or however u spell it). I still really like both games though.
