How could so much go wrong? Hearts of Stone was such a good DLC that I was thought even if B&W was HALF as good it would be fantastic but it turned out to not even be 1 quarter as good.The Old Hunter is still the best modern day DLC i've played.

It's just disappointing. All the side quests suck and the main story is bad so unlike the main game it has nothing going for it. At least with the main game the side quests were excellent even though the main story was iffy.

I think we're just burnt out from Witcher 3 mate. The game is fundementally flawed in regards to replayability and many other facets of gameplay. Blood & WIne really highlighted just how weak the games gameplay is.
When you have a weak narrative and the gameplay of Witcher 3 you have a fucking boring game. Hearts and Stone/Vanilla circumvented this by having outstanding plots (maybe not the Vanilla but the side content was fantastic) with even some well needed changes to gameplay (better bosses in the case of Hearts of Stone) but they are always there to supplement the story.
In Blood & Wine they had a few gameplay tweaks and a outright boring plotline and it really stood out like a sore thumb. This is why I could never fully get behind the Witcher 3 hype (calling it the best RPG ever made is a laughable statement) despite loving the series and even the game itself (it's one of my favorite games this gen).
I don't know man, i'm just still salty over how disappointed this DLC made me and knowing the fact that reviewers/people will gloss over its blatant issues because "LEL, IT'S WITCHER 3" just like they did with Dark Souls 2 because "LEL, IT'S DARK SOULS".
