Now that the dust has settled (Even though it's only been a couple hours and it was an early build), What is /v/'s honest opinions on Mighty No. 9? Does it still have any chance to redeem itself?
Fuck off Inafune

I think the general consensus was "It's tedious" and "What you see is what you get"

THANK YOU CON MAN

I was personally pleasantly surprised. I had more fun than I thought I would.
Still, I'm going to withhold my full judgment for the final build.

It is hot garbage.

This.
The problem with Mighty No. 9 is that the whole controversy that went on during its development caused people to expect a negative reaction both from others and from themselves. It could be the best platformer in years; it's still going to be bashed.
Had the game end up the exact same way without any of the drama (and perhaps if it wasn't crowdfunded), it would be much better received.
Needs a lot of polish. Ledge grabbing is annoying and some platforming sections are just unfair. I personally hate the main theme and the dashing into enemies.

Pretty much this, if something the game is probably gonna be a 5/10 or 6/10 and will be forgotten in a few years aside the fact it was a development disaster, the biggest loser here is Inafune.
Its not for anime fans.

Op, it's meme status now, the dust is permanatly unsettled.
It makes me feel a fuck of a lot better about buying Armikrog.
As half-baked and buggy as that game is, it looks good and has a great soundtrack, I can't say either of those things for this mess.
