What are some games that blur the line between dreams or imagination and reality?
Where the imaginary world starts leaking into the real one and the game messes with your head in unsettling ways.
Any tips?
The pic in the OP is an example of such a sequence (that was quite unsettling). Perhaps it didn't really leak much into reality, butyou had to get through it in order to even wake up, so the dream world did affect reality in a way.

Stupid wojack, frog, wojack poster.
Just kidding.
Eternal Darkness. It is a game that may affect your real world.

Is it easy to emulate?
I actually do have a Gamecube somewhere in the basement, but doubt I could get the actual game in physical form.

>Enter a new room
>Its most likely a REAL room
>Fight monsters
>The things that happen is MOST LIKELY REAL
Then
>Sanity meter drops
>Insane shit happens
>False hope happens
>THIS... IS.. NOT .... HAPPENING!!

>>Its most likely a REAL room
keeeek
what do you mean by reality? the reality of your character or real life reality?
>Max Payne
>Shivering Isles had some moments if I remember correctly
ME3 has a bunch of dream sequences, they're fucking awful though.

I mean the reality of my character. To my knowledge it is not really possible to break the fourth wall and make the player question his sanity.
Thanks for the tip, will check it out.

Yes those were terrible and that game was terrible, but thanks for playing.
There was one sequence kind of like it in Syberia 2 that I just played through, that is why I thought of this. A dream world leaking out into reality and giving you hints on how to proceed.
