Yes and no. I'm 30, and there are several games I am far better at than I ever was as a teen. Some I'm worse at. The biggest factor isn't reaction time, but practice and reaching a plateau. Simply put, it's absolutely retarded to pretend video game reaction time = real world reaction time. It's why a lot of nerds and neckbeards absolutely get their shit rekt in a real fight. They don't actually have "fast" reaction times, but conditioned themselves to twitch reactions and confuse that as god tier speed. Any other actual skill from a game is completely and wholly practice based. You do hit a "peak", but it's less age and more motivation+time. Guess what's lacking for most 30 to 50 year olds. Your 50 year old dad starting call of duty won't have your reaction times because he hasn't been playing vidya since the fucking womb, and he isn't going to spend 7 hours a day "gitting gud". Any loss in reaction time is so insignificant it's laughable.
Gaming at 60+ is steeper slope.

Arena shooter gameplay is much different obviously. Use Genji against people so braindead they pick bastion. He's also alright against Sweden's cuck turrets, though pharah is better. Rocket launcher classes/weapons are good for learning the genre as you still have to predict the random movements, but are allowed AOE damage as a crutch.
