I feel like genji can be very helpful to counter certain heroes, but in general he can't kill a lot of people fast, like a phara or a soldier or some shit.
So if your team is kinda sucking, you can't really carry with genji, while you can (sort of) carry with some of the other assault heroes.

No famo don't give up. The trick is to always have your eye on your cooldowns. Literally all his abilities including ult I use without hesitation. If you think of saving something you'll just end up dying. Save for deflection which, if you'll pardon the meme, you just gotta git gud with it. Use it st the right time and you'll turn a team fight. Never stop double jumping in combat. Never stop throwing weeb stars. Reload every time you reposition. Use alternate fire in close quarters. Always attempt to flank especially with the weeb stick.
