Anyone who uses hanzo solely as a "stand far away and snipe stuff" class is an idiot. I primarily play Hanzo, but i'm constantly with the escort, or right behind the tank. The trick to him is how he has slightly better maneuverability while aiming a shot than Windowlicker, giving you better chances when up close with targets, using ricochet arrows to burst down tanks and super fast units, and constantly giving your team a recon advantage at all corners.
You'll know a good Hanzo player when you see one. Sadly most just use him to camp and snipe, which he's actually not even good at, especially when compared to Widow.

I played as him for the first time earlier today and he seemed pretty fun.
I don't recall doing anything especially amazing but I played petty decently I think with him and had a good time. Definitely helped us win for sure since I distinctly recall helping cause a teamkill when there were only 10 or so seconds on the clock left.
