Mei is just way too fucking versatile for me to pass on it, she's pretty much my panic pick when we're about to lose.
I can take care of the payload, hunt for kills and usually come back with some heads under my belt on top of being self sufficient and being able to stall for time by locking a payload or a point just by being on it for a retarded amount of time thanks to cryo and the wall.
Zarya is insane too in defense with a Torb who gives her armor since it gives her shields the same defensive properties as armor on top of regenerating themselves.

Mei is seriously great. She's only seen as "bad" in the "pro" scene because she is killed by McCree which is very prevalent right now with most teams running 1 to 2. Once McCree gets nerfed I promise you Mei will see her day, In pub play though, she is amazingly resilient and can hold onto overtime like nobody's business.

How do you play Zenyatta? I have such awful games with him. He doesn't really feel like a support, since his on-demand healing is extremely weak (aside from his ult). He'd be a solid anti-tank pick with discord, but with only 150 HP he is just asking to be killed by a Widowmaker bodyshot or a 76 rocket or a junkrat combo. I do all the time, I mean as you can see he's one of my most played. I win often enough considering this game has evil matchmaking that wants you to only win 50% ever. The problem with zenyatta is it either goes so well that I feel like I'm winning the match by myself or it's just absolute suffering, can't do shit.
I had a match recently where I kept getting killed instantly on route 66 and we got pushed all the way back to the very end. But because this meant my team HAD to watch my back instead of run around like retards, I was able to turn it around and do the usual kill everyone/keep people alive/deny ults with transcendence. It went from a complete steamroll to them not gaining an inch until we won.
