Naw bro. It's the best it's ever been. Witch's locks flame whip attack is unparryable, fast as fuck, does huge damage and nobody really knows when to dodge for whips. Rangeis huge to boot, just keep a secondary weapon on hand because it can't do critical attacks.

Faith was actually good in DS1 on it's own though. With the base 20/30 your lightning spears hit most enemies for very solid damage.

Flame whip is the best whip, which means you're going pyro. I recommend being Juste if you're looking for an authentic build because he was the spellcastiest of the Belmonts. Besides the whip stock up on plenty of throwables, especially knives, and maybe a short sword to fall back on.
