Seems fine at first. I haven't played the game at all yet, but I did watch some of the beginning of the game, and the text seems fairly accurate compared to the VA. I've heard it gets pretty bad later, especially with the quizzes/texts (which are more than likely a programming issue brought about in localization). I watched the scene I've heard people talk about, where Arata starts callers Eaters "Bakemon" as well. That is what he says in the Japanese version, but bakemon is a shorter form of the word bakemono, which is a word for monsters/ghosts. Not sure if it was supposed to be a pun or not (it was written in katakana), but even if it was, it was a terrible idea to transliterate it because most English natives won't know that, they'll just think of the ghost Digimon of the same name.
I was actually thinking about just buying the English version too, since it's 25 dollars cheaper than the Japanese version, but after finding out how badly translated it is, I'll just wait until the Nip version drops in price.

I think what's bad about it is that it's so intrusive. Every five minutes of gameplay is interrupted by 4 minutes of dialogue, and that's with me rapidly pressing X without reading any of it. It hurts it more when the random encounters are so weak leading up to the boss. This is where they should have a taken a cue from that other monster catching RPG series and had trainer battles sprinkled throughout dungeons.
