What I like about Raul is that he's by far and away the wisest of the companions. He's seen more shit than Boone and Lily combined, which shows through in his writing. I don't think it's a coincidence that he's the only companion to be open minded about every faction, even the Legion. When you've watched the world end, seen your hometown decay into anarchy, and found you little sister raped to death, it'll sure as hell make you willing to sacrifice freedom for safety.

Power fist? It's good but not that good. In New Vegas I felt like a lot of the melee builds were sorely lacking. Sure there's a lot of perks for them but they can't actually *get* anywhere. Melee is the most overpowered shit in this game, combined with drugs you can run BUTT NAKED into 4-6 Deathclaws at once without companions and not give a single fuck.

Except I don't use melee. All the "overpowered" weapons apply just as much to spawning enemies as they do to me and my allies.
In fallout 3 I tweaked a lot of the early game stuff to actually be very deadly. The result was me getting my ass handed to me quite often on normal. Even the lowliest of raiders is *deadly* and they will not spawn with any useless guns. You can't relax anymore when you see a chinese pistol or a .32 revolver and I think that makes the game fun.

It's mostly the movement speed. Super Mutants, Deathclaws, Legatus, etc. are all OP because they can reach you in no time. It doesn't matter how deadly you are up close if by the time you reach someone, the other surrounding you already blasted off 50% of your health.
