I think the music is quite good, but Ibfound it a little disappointing. It doesn't have the variety ds1 has and took more of the bombastic all the time direction of ds2. Not inherently bad, but a lot of the calmer songs in ds1 were my favorites, like Sif and Artorias.
The worst though was that it just didn't hold a candle to Bloodborne's soundtrack despite coming afterward.

Why are male vocals so fucking underrated?
Video Game / Movie / TV Scores really don't utilize male vocals enough and they're fucking fantastic. I can't think of a single song that has a male chorus and sucks.

Orchestrated soundtracks are fucking cancer and are almost bound to be mediocre. Souls soundtracks have never been good anyways, despite some excellent tracks sprinkled throughout the games.
The only game in recent memory that had a consistently great orchestra behind it was DQVIII.

When a song sucks its always Sakurabas fault, he was never that good to begin with but he stopped giving a shit a while ago, he even admitted it himself
Though to be fair, FROM either wants boss themes to sound a certain way or the new composers want to ape Sakurabas bombastic style to fit in. They handle it much much better, but it still always sounds overly bombastic and the chorus got old 2 games ago
