I never got how most Hollywood soundtracks are so celebrated and respected, when most of them just seem like generic pieces to set the scene for me.
I mean...we HAVE gotten stuff like John Williams' various scores for shit like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Superman, etc. Plus some other shit like Danny Elfman's Batman theme, Hans Zimmer's TDK trilogy work, but literally the vast majority of Hollywood soundtracks seem to be throwaway bullshit that you'd NEVER listen to outside of the movie.
Meanwhile with a lot of video game music, you get a lot of memorable, catchy tunes that not only set the mood and tone for the atmosphere of a level or boss fight, but have memorable melodies, hooks, etc. And it can be dynamic as hell too, not only in terms of sheer sonic variety, but also in terms of the music changing depending on what's going on in the game, which is always nice.

Didn't care for what little I heard of BvS' soundtrack though. Batman's theme was alright I guess. WW's sucked and didn't fit the character at all imo. Lex Luthor's sounded like the composers wrote a theme for the Joker and gave it to Lex for some reason.

Yeah...I didn't get the love for it at all. It was a huge turn off for me. When I think of WW, I don't think of whatever that theme was. Which is really sad. This is their big chance at bringing WW to the mainstream again and they give her that for her theme? Seriously?
