The only levels that were hard as shit were the Maggie Temple sections, fucking platforms, traps everywhere and demons wrecking your shit
And you had only one chance before finding a page again, they get rarer and rarer with time.
The difficulty gets insane, but I loved the game.

Getting a Game Over just means you get an F on the paper
I never understood how this game even functioned as a child. It seemed the game was bugged and would literally load a random stage from the game and each stage either had no ending or was unbeatable, so you played until you got the kitchen scene where everyone's disappointed or until you turned the system off. I felt like it had no direction whatsoever. Even in the levels where I feel I was doing good, they just went on forever until randomly deciding to change stages?

The waterslide stage was the absolute biggest bullshit, though (well, after the instant death part of the roulette). Unless there was some way to know which path to take at each fork and I just never figured it out.
