by the time i played the battle frontier all my pokemon were level 100 and half of them were legendary, there was no fun endgame it was just more of the same shit id already been doing. the big four were a fucking joke and it felt like i was battling four randoms off the fucking street. pacing was awful in emerald.

Just admit you never even tried the Battle Frontier already. Being level 100 means jackshit because all your opponents will be at 100 too and unlike your shitty team they're actually EV trained and have perfect IVs. It's also very telling of how shitty you are that you think being legendary automatically makes a Pokémon good. A lot of legendaries are mediocre, most of the good ones are banned in the Battle Frontier and the good ones that are allowed are also used by the AI.
You would get absolutely annihilated in round 2 of the frontier, but you wouldn't know since you probably wouldn't make it past round 1.
