Zarya is a good character and if the hair was preventing you from trying her then get her Russian Snow Soldier one, there's two to choose from.
Bedouin Genji, Night Ops Soldier 76, and the Mechaqueen and Native American Pharrah are all top tier.
Just buy one for your favorite character

I had never tryed Symmetra, then I got a gold skin and first time I played her got an easy victory with like 15 kills and 0 deaths, partially due to a good reinhardt
