Their life is so devoid of real accomplishments that they seek to derive achievement from video games. When this fails, it serves as a huge reminder that they're incompetent in every aspect of their life, even the one thing they think they're good at.

I used to do this but now I just toss the fucking controller on the couch lightly and walk away for a few minutes. If it's a mutiplayer game I'll still try until the end of the game but afterwards I just turn it off for a couple days, play something else until I cool off.
I just get so pissed off when I'm repetitively killed by the same guy in an online shooter. I just start screaming to myself and I get cynical of everything for the next 2 hours.

The only time I legitimately got mad was when I was being a retard on Half Life 2. I didn't know the rockets followed your cursor, so I would jump out of cover, fire a missile at the gunship and then hide again. Because I was hiding behind a wall the rocket would circle back around and hit me. I had to turn the game off and walk away for a while.
Why is this funny? It really upsets me when I play against someone who gets angry/frustrated. I don't like to see other people in pain.

I occasionally get visibly mad at a game, often if something's fucked up on the game's end (glitches, crashes, etc) or my own fucking ineptitude. When I do, the worst is I thump my knee with my fist and swear a bit then get back to it.
