It was incredibly average and got worse with time. End game content is incredibly spongy and co-op trivialized the quest system which was a bunch of fetch quests anyways. Half the time I didn't even know why I was going somewhere to collect something. And they only thrived by appealing to the lowest common denominator and filling their game up with stupid memetic shit. Claptrap is a walking meme generator.
Also they shat out Aliens and Dook Nookm for a quick profit.

Borderland was great
Borderland 2 is better but is also worst due to the items and the story pacing.
Borderland Pre Sequel fixed most of the major problems. I hope they get everything together for Borderland 3.
