I designed a new controller layout, but my colleges discourage me of this. They are 2 reasons for this

> console player are a bit like monkeys and they can't handle to much buttons.
I had even one design with the Z button in the middle of the four buttons.
Anyway, how do you find this button layout?
And would you mind if you had 2 - 4 addition buttons?
Would you mind a little mousewheel near the shoulder?

Current controller has big leeway-space (like n64 stick), I proposed to reduce. Eventually we could use the stick technology from new 3ds.

Claw grip is impractical. You're putting most of the weight on top of the controller while leaving only the weakest two finger support and holding it. That Xbox Elite controller or whatever had the right idea by putting some buttons underneath.

It's all about pushing the brand and marketing to the player.
Sure the big logo in the middle of the controller helps but you need to really ram home the name Xbox so everyone remembers it.
